FLEXIBILITY AND SUPPLENESS (ABILITY TO YIELD) THROUGH YOGA AND QIGONG
MELANIE WILLSHER teaches the somatic movement practices of Yoga and Authentic Movement. The Yoga asanas are supported and guided by the release of the breath, finding the earth and freeing the body. The force of breath, can be felt to move through a deeply relaxed, loose body, like a wave moving through a body of water, so keeping the whole body in constant, subtle, amoeba-like motion, and awakening has no choice but to begin.
CATHY TALBOYS Having practiced Taoist Qigong for 25 years, I would like to continue my informal introduction to the principles and health benefits of Qigong, through a set of simple Qigong exercises. By practicing these gentle stretching movements, we will encourage tensions deep in the body tissues to soften and release, leaving a calming sensation of
Breathing Through Our Whole Body.
This will promote the flow of Qi from nature to within and throughout our body , improving co-ordination, flexibility and circulation, benefitting all our bodily systems and organs.
